Transition Movement

The Transition Movement

The Transition Movement began in Totnes, England around 2005.  The movement was founded Rob Hopkins and Naresh Giangrande. Transition Totnes began running awareness-raising events and building the core elements of the Transition Model during the year of 2006. The movement quickly spread across England, and eventually all over the world, including here, in Tampa Bay!

What does Transition Network do?

Transition Network is a charitable organization whose role is to inspire, encourage, connect, support and train communities as they self-organize around the Transition model, creating initiatives that rebuild resilience and reduce CO2 emissions.

Ultimately it’s about creating a healthy human culture, one that meets our needs for community, livelihoods and fun.  We’re here to support you.

We run events, conferences, trainings, blogs, webinars. We produce  monthly newsletters, books, films, guides, tweets, and more,  all with the intention of best supporting those around the world who are doing Transition.

For the Full Story, we recommend you watch the Videos, Transition 1.0 and Transition 2.0.
